Karolyn Gehrig is a queer disabled artist, writer, advocate and performer known for creating #HospitalGlam, a social media based movement which uses site specific photography to reclaim clinical space, enable self advocacy and boost disabled voices. 

Born in Queens, her work frequently explores violence, spatial politics, and bodily autonomy. Her work on #HospitalGlam has been featured in the Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, The Guardian, and more. You can find links to those pieces, as well as some of her writing, here. 

She's presented at Stanford’s Medicine X, BinderCon, performed at the Hammer Museum, and been tongue tied at the Obama White House. She currently lives in Los Angeles, where she performs at storytelling shows and moderates a semi-active hummingbird feeder outside her window.
